
The objective was to revitalise the digital presence of Wxy., a brand that had been operating on a legacy Shopify setup for several years. While the business was established, the existing storefront reflected an older era of e-commerce, missing out on the drastic improvements in design flexibility and backend efficiency that Shopify has introduced in recent years. The goal was to deliver a high-performance, aesthetically modern website that aligned with current design trends while ensuring that the transition remained seamless and non-disruptive to their active customer base.
To maintain business continuity, I implemented a "Shadow Build" strategy. Rather than working on the live site, I curated a selection of high-performance themes for the client to review. Once the direction was set, the entire rebuild was conducted within the Shopify Theme Library.
The primary hurdle was the "stagnation risk" - the client needed a total visual and functional overhaul without risking a dip in current performance or complicating daily operations.
